More than half a billion people worldwide used mobile devices to access the Internet in 2009 and there were 1388.2 million handsets were sold in 2010. In the US, 25% of mobile Web users are mobile-only and more than 85% of new handsets in 2011 will be able to access the mobile Web.
Mobile usage is expected to double within five years and from all indications, the trend for more users spending time more accessing the Internet using mobile devices will continue to surge.
In February of 2011, Jason Spero from Google said “It is true across the board. Roughly one in seven searches, even in the smaller categories, are happening on a mobile phone, but how many of you are putting one seventh of your resources into mobile – anyone who hasn’t got mobile only business? Your customer is trying to engage you… it would be like not doing business with your customers on Thursdays.”
Is your web site mobile ready? Do you know how much mobile traffic your web site receives? Mobile Applications, aka “Apps” are all the rage, but do you need an app for your business or will a mobile web site suffice? If so, which platform, iPhone, Android, Blackberry, Window Mobile, All? The Libertas team has built several mobile applications and mobile web sites and can help you determine what your mobile strategy should be.
In this seminar I will help you answer this question.
