I was interviewed by Rob Williams on December 7th, 2012 for the Fox 19 Morning News. We discussed the e-mail security and how not to pull a Petraeus.

Basic e-mail security tips:

• E-mail is  inherently insecure because messages are plain text
• Use strong passwords
• Log out when you are done with each session
• Have multiple accounts with different services to protect more confidential e-mails
  • Setup a new anonymous account for sensitive e-mails.
• For web based mail clients like gmail, Hotmail or yahoo, ensure that they use Secure Sockets Layer aka SSL. Look for https in the URL.
• Don’t leave confidential messages online
• Hide your IP address
  • VPN
  • TOR
  • Use different networks at different location
• Use encryption
