OK, I’ve finally succumbed to blogging

Fine, I surrender… I swore I would never do it, but here is my new blog.

I’m a programmer, writer, teacher and strategist with more than 15 years of IT experience working closely and collaboratively with customers to build software applications that improve their businesses. I’ve been told that I’ve got knack for taking complex business and technical issues and explaining them in simple terms that anyone can understand. Why, because I don’t focus on technology, I focus on the business benefit and abhor technical mumbo jumbo.

That said, my blog has four basic purposes:

  1. To use everyday business language to inform people about how the intelligent application of technology can reduce costs, increase sales, increase profits, improve effectiveness, make it easier for customers to do business with you and give you a significant competitive advantage, no matter what line of business you are in!
  2. To help non technical folks (aka regular people)  stay on top of important trends in the industry that will eventually impact their businesses  for better or worse by explaining it in layman’s terms.
  3. To keep people aware of growing need to understand computer security in order to secure both personal and business information of a confidential and propriety nature. Identity thieves and hackers are placing a growing premium on information and you need to remain vigilant in your efforts to understand the risks and defend your information from them
  4. To brain dump on topics that I think are interesting and that you should be aware of.

I hope you enjoy it and find it useful, if you like it, tell a friend!

Oh boy. You’ve bitten the forbidden fruit. You will now be living among the briars, the hard clay and the never setting sun.

No longer will you and your lovely bride be strolling hand in hand in the cool of the evening.

    Welcome and good luck!

    PS I blogged about it.
